

You want to apply for a position as an instructor...

Thank you for your interest in applying for an instructor position with MDSPOSA. In order to be an instructor you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Prior public law enforcement officer - this means that you served in a law enforcement capacity with a public agency and had arrest powers. You must have served with an agency as a police officer, deputy sheriff, or federal police officer or agent. Special police do not qualify.
2. You must be qualified or able to be qualified as an MPCTC instructor to teach police officers. This means that you have already attended an MPCTC instructor course at either a police department, at MPCTC, or at a police academy. It is not enough that you are qualified to teach only security officers.
